Volunteers : Adopt-An-Event
Posted by brady on 2010/6/1 20:10:00 (48 reads)

Keep Rock Island Beautiful is starting a new program called “Adopt-An-Event”. We will loan out recycling bins to individuals or organizations who will maintain recycling of plastic bottles or aluminum cans at an event.

The bins must be picked up at the Keep Rock Island Beautiful office at 201 15th Street. It is the responsibility of those who have picked up the bins to also maintain them by making sure that the articles placed in the containers are actually recyclable. Then they are responsible to take those recyclables to the recycling center. Immediately after the event, the bins must be returned to our office along with a report of how many people attended the event, how many volunteers help man the recycling bins and how many bags of recyclables were taken to the recycling center.

The bins are already in demand, so it is necessary for you to call our office at 309-786-1334 to reserve in advance.
